I'm watching the press conference now. Hamilton was asked if there would be any interest in rehiring Fulmer and he said flat out, without hesitation "No.". If Fulmer was going to be the A.D., you'd also think that he'd be the one making a head coaching hire not Hamilton. Hamilton has hired Neinas Search Firm in Colorado to help find a new coach. It's the same firm he used last year.
I admit I didn't know anything about Kippy Brown but I like this guy, I hope he stays on the new staff. I keep hearing that a Coach will be hired by this weekend so they are moving quick.
I thought kids moved in today, but classes don't start until next Wednesday? If so, then there's still time for Miami or whoever to call him and other recruits. If I'm wrong on that time frame for sure, correct me. I read that on Rivals today.Quote:

Mike Hamilton said he met with the early enrollee players this morning and he said if they wanted to be a part of UT then they needed to go to class today. He said this during the press conference and I had seen a couple of other places where they said classes started today.
UT's website says classes begin Jan 13th, 2010
He also said that if you were on campus at 12:01 this morning you are an official student of the University of Tennessee.
UT should have never got rid of Fulmer. There is something to be said for class, and UT fans in whole have forgot that. It's sickening really and why I really can't get all that into NCAA Football. At least in the NFL you can somewhat expect this stuff.

It's actually very similar to the Maryland situation, a ton of Terp fans are wanting to get rid of Williams. Personally, I think he should be the coach there until he dies or decides he wants to retire or has some type of serious violation either NCAA wise or ethically.
Keeping Fulmer as the HC would not have been classy. It would have been dumb.

Fulmer was simply not energized enough to turn around UT football.
Muschamp is staying at Texas btw, I am hearing a lot of Troy Calhoun.
but one more lil savory bit, there are some rumblings that Hamilton is out as AD, and that UT has a replacement in mind........the rumor has the replacement as having an uncanny resemblence to a giant pumpkin.
Turns out Kiffin was a west coast guy after all. LoL :D
